If you are in the clip

You do not have to own the footage to ask. Send the link to the clip and we will take it down, usually within a week.

Formal copyright notice

Rights holders who want to file a notice under the DMCA should send us:

• A signature, handwritten or electronic, from the owner or someone acting for them.
• A description of the work you own.
• The link to every clip you want removed.
• How to reach you: name, mailing address, phone number and email.
• Your good-faith statement that the clip is not authorized by you, your agent or the law.
• Your statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for whoever does.

Once a complete notice arrives, the clip comes down.

If your clip was removed by mistake

Whoever supplied a removed clip can dispute the removal. The counter-notice needs a signature, the clip's former link, a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed through mistake or misidentification, and a name, address and phone number, with agreement to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. The clip may go back up if the complaining party does not take the matter to court within the legal deadline.

Repeat problems

Footage sources that keep leading to valid complaints are dropped.
